DC Universe Online Review: Unique Combat Gives Edge!

Posted by -Jet- on December 1, 2011 at 9:00 PM Comments comments (0)

It's been almost a month since DC Universe Online became free-to-play, and so far, I am loving what DC has done with the exceptional MMO. At first, I had my doubts about it ever becoming something to brag about, but with a couple of updates, that fear has disapearred. With City of Heroes dominating the genre, I feel as though the game hasn't gotten the props it deserves. Yes...

Superman iOS Review: Superman Gets His Wings

Posted by -Jet- on November 29, 2011 at 7:40 PM Comments comments (0)

At first look, the game kind of looks like a side-scrolling Grand Theft Auto, but under the screenshot lays the foundation for Superman's success on the iPhone. Yes, Superman for the iPhone and iPod touch manages to create the first truly great Superman game I have seen in a while.

Of course, when I talk about it, I obviously mean in terms of an iOS game. If this was the product...

Quick Review: Blood and Glory

Posted by -Jet- on November 29, 2011 at 7:25 PM Comments comments (0)

For a while now, Infinity Blade has captivated worn out iOS users with unique gameplay and graphics that would make the PSP weep. Well that formula is not unique anymore, because Blood and Glory by Blu Games takes the idea, and manages to create a legitimate experience all for free.

Even if you have been unfortunate enough not to have been able to play the game, most still have ...

Gangstar Rio City of Saints Review: When Saints Go Crazy...

Posted by -Jet- on November 18, 2011 at 9:15 PM Comments comments (0)

It's been a week since me and Gangstar Rio first set eyes on each other. As I clicked the purchase button on iTunes, my iPod shudders at the shear size of the download. After my computer finishes chugging in the last few kilobytes on to my hard drive, I spend a few hours contemplating which apps to remove from my iDevice, until I have at least 2.0 GB of memory left free floating on my iPod. I syn...

Charlie Brown Storms iOS: Snoopy's Street Fair

Snoopy's Street Fair

Whether it be the soothing and jazzy christmas tunes or that classic sarcastic voice-acting you can't find anywhere else, Charlie Brown remains my favorite series. Just in the midst of watching "He's A Bully Charlie Brown", I take a peek on to the App Store, and is pleased with the results. I haven't had much time to manage the game, but from the looks of it, the game will be excedingl...

Sonic Generations PS3 and Xbox 360 Review

Posted by -Jet- on November 17, 2011 at 4:50 PM Comments comments (0)

Playing through Sonic Generations for the first time reminded me of my first time experiencing Sonic Adventure 2 on my outdated DreamCast: Breathe-taking. Running across the streets and taking out frequent G.U.N soldiers felt as if I was actually controlling a force of lightning itself. After Shadow the Hedgehog, my ties with the American Hedgehog began to wane, ...

Siegebreaker Review: RTS With Style

Posted by -Jet- on November 7, 2011 at 9:05 PM Comments comments (0)

Hands-on access to the latest game by Crazy Monkey Studios makes me wonder why iPhone devs haven't realized the formula to a great RTS. Excluding Great Little War Game and Starfront Collision, I've found myself falling asleep at the worst of Strategy games huddling around the iTunes App Store. Siegebreaker keeps me alive for the brief 30 minute gaming sessions with an actually ...

Devil May Cry Refrain Gets An Awesome Update: Devil Trigger Nero and Dante

Posted by -Jet- on November 2, 2011 at 10:45 AM Comments comments (0)

As one of the iPhone's best and only full 3D hack-n-slash games (the only other one I can think of is Hero of Sparta 2), I've expected a lot out of my beloved demon infested series. Starting with the update featuring Dante, I've felt this iPhone game growing. Now, with the inclusion of Devil Trigger Nero and Dante, I am certain that Capcom is here to satisfy its fans. After defeating the bloody p...
